The Saskatchewan School Library Association has a relatively new web site, http://ssla.ca. We are very happy with this site in many ways as it has allowed us to develop a very positive online presence. We have discovered however, that we will lack the expertise to maintain the site once the current web master moves on to other duties and responsibilities. Also, the involvement our executive members have had in the use of social media make us want to more involved individually and directly in the web site development by adding content rather than having to go to the web master with the items we want added.

Several of our executive members have had very positive experiences using a CMS such as Drupal. I, Donna, have played a major role in our school division's Drupal project (e.g.NBCHS ) and am willing to set up a Drupal site for our association.

We will most likely move away from a school division-based hosting service to YourLink . The contact with them has been very positive and while the cost of $35.00/month will be more than we pay now we are assured of the services that will allow us to upgrade versions and provide support when necessary.

We are now in the process of reviewing our branding - our colours and logo and once we have done so will launch the new site - hopefully in May at our conference.
